Lol, Gungi master girl, aka Komugi, is a bit of a derp. A lot of things that I deeply appreciate seeing for the first time collected into one spot. The Chimera Ant arc was, for me, a huge collection of 'firsts'. Honestly, as a guy who writes as a hobby, I can't imagine the thought process that went into creating this situation, let alone actually writing it to its conclusion. ![]() The entire existence of this whole match-up is worthy of praise. Reading Komugi's rhythm proving harder than his past opponents. And thus the king will know failure.after failure after failure. And so the king arrives at Gungi, a complicated 3 dimensional game that involves more layers than he's ever experienced before. If they cannot beat him physically, then maybe intellectually? Doesn't seem that way as player after player falls before him. In the king's case, he feels inferior to that which he was born from until he conquers it. It's natural to wish to ascertain superiority in anything you do. ![]() The very idea that the king has beating opponents on different battlefields is fundamentally.right. The essence of it lies with the king, and not his endlessly fascinating opponent. ![]() Today I'll be speaking of why I like the subplot of the King vs Komugi. Again I find myself itching to talk about something that played a relatively small part of the episode.
